Bournville Village Trust revamps fleet with Transporters

The Trust provides housing and estate management services to over 8,000 properties across Birmingham and Telford, and has put the Transporter vans to use to carry out repairs and general maintenance work on properties from Birmingham to Telford, a distance spanning over 30 miles.

Paul McNamara, support service manager at the Trust, said: “Our old fleet was in definite need of a revamp and, as Volkswagen is well known for its reliability, it was the perfect choice for our new commercial vehicles.

“We have been able to customise the vehicles to our needs, with features including bespoke bulkheads and telematics technology. And by opting for the Transporter, the size of the load compartment means we can reduce the number of times the team has to shuttle to and from locations, while at the same time ensuring drivers have an enjoyable experience behind the wheel.

“From start to finish I have been impressed with the professional service we have received from Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles and hope to work with them for years to come.”

The Transporter vans were supplied by Birmingham Van Centre and are funded by Volkswagen Financial Services Fleet on contract hire.
