Chevin enables easier access to fleets’ data

Chevin Fleet Solutions has bolstered its FleetWave management software with a function enabling users to combine and extract real-time data more easily using bespoke applications.

The API (Application Programming Interface) tool means fleets can build their own tools to integrate data from external sources, and securely produce and share automated reports from FleetWave’s internal tables. It’s claimed this could save time, and offer better decision-making using

Ashley Sowerby, Chevin’s managing director, explained: “If you want to maximise the efficiency of your fleet and minimise its cost, then fleet cannot operate as a standalone entity. It needs to be tightly integrated into the whole corporate structure. If you can deliver high levels of integration with critical internal systems, then all kinds of new efficiencies and decision-making opportunities are created.”
