Fraikin expands rental fleet

The new order comprises a range of vehicles suited to particular markets, including 30 VW Crafters with extra-long wheelbases together with 30 Transit Luton vans with tail-lifts – a first for the company.

In addition, the company has added 159 vehicles comprising a mix of 7.5t, 18t and 26t rigid box vans and curtainsiders and a number of tractor units, which have been supplied by MAN with bodies manufactured by Cartwright.

Mark Newnes, operations director of Fraikin, said: ‘Companies are increasingly seeking to source vehicles on a rental basis so we are updating our rental fleet in response to continued customer demand.

‘We have also noticed a growing trend of companies looking to rent vehicles to give them maximum flexibility in managing their fleets.

‘Fraikin has an established rental fleet of 1,000 vehicles which operates across the UK out of its network of workshops and is well placed to service the rental market as it continues to grow.’
