FTA Transport Manager autumn conference series proves hit

Sponsored by Iveco is well under way, the conference series has already run events in Chepstow, Durham and London, with the fourth event in the series taking place in Peterborough on Thursday (20 October).

Already 90% of those attending so far saying they are ‘very likely’ to attend this type of event again.

David Watkins of CEM Day, who was at Chepstow, said: “I’ve been attending these events for the past 15 years and find them very helpful.  The amount of information we get is invaluable, especially listening to people like Nick Jones the Traffic Commissioner, and I also find it very good for networking because there are customers and other people I know within the transport industry that attend these events as well.”

Another delegate at Chepstow, Geraint Davies of John Raymond Transport, said: “It (FTA Transport Manager) really is very thought-provoking and helps the operator and the transport manager to get on and do the right thing and to do it in a channelled and effective way.”

Mark Johnson from Dwr Cymru (Welsh Water) commented: “I thought Wednesday at St Pierre was one of the best TM seminars yet – nice and lively with a good balance between invited speakers and the day-to-day matters.”

FTA Transport Manager, which is supported by Goodyear Tyres and Microlise, runs until December at venues throughout the UK, giving transport managers and those in charge of road transport fleets the opportunity to hear from key industry speakers and experts such as their local Traffic Commissioner, DVLA, DVSA and others on the latest issues affecting their operation.
