2022 Cenex-LCV event to focus on EVs and transition to net zero

Cenex has revealed details of its Low Carbon Vehicle (LCV2022) event, which will focus on the 2030 ICE phase-out and the switch to EVs.

This year will see the Cenex-LCV event celebrate its 15th anniversary

This year’s event takes place on 7-8 September at the UTAC Millbrook venue in Bedfordshire and celebrates its 15th year while the Cenex-Connected Automated Mobility (CAM) sister event reaches its fourth birthday.

Both will once again include a technology exhibition, an extensive seminar programme with industry and government speakers, and exclusive showcasing of the latest vehicle developments in a motor industry development and test environment.

For 2022, the two-day LCV event – which includes Fleet World and EV Fleet World as media sponsors – will focus on the low carbon vehicle transition to net zero and how innovation is shaping an Automated Connected Electric and Shared Mobility (ACES) future of mobility.

Robert Evans, CEO of Cenex, said: “Since its inception in 2008, Cenex-LCV has truly become the ‘must-attend’ event for the UK low carbon vehicle community, and it is pleasing to see how it has grown over the last 15 years – engaging an ever-growing number of organisations, who are actively contributing technology, policy and market development activities in support of decarbonising and automating road transport.

“Under Cenex’ stewardship, with the help of supporting partners, the Cenex-LCV event maintains a strategic focus on supporting companies in the UK to strive for competitiveness by bringing forward new technologies and business models that can drive forward the transition to Net Zero transport, whilst ensuring a supportive policy framework to aid market transformation.

“Cenex-LCV and Cenex-CAM are where the leading-edge UK innovations are showcased. The 15th anniversary provides an exciting opportunity to recap on the tremendous progress made since the event’s inception, whilst also focusing on how to tackle remaining challenges and realise key opportunities in the critical years ahead.”
