6-channel digital vehicle recorder brings peace of mind for van fleets

Sentinel Systems has introduced a new 6-channel mobile digital vehicle recorder (DVR) that can be teamed up with the firm’s cameras to provide a high-surveillance vehicle system for commercial fleets.

Sentinel’s new DVR can be mounted anywhere on the vehicle, capturing data from up to six AHD channels

The new Sentry S60 series AHD DVR is aimed at all-size operations – from owner operators to large fleets – and features up to 2TB hard disk storage space to capture data from up to six Sentinel cameras, including reversing, side and forward-facing cameras for an all-round view of the vehicle, providing up to 30 days of recording. There are an additional two channels also available to use if required at a later date.

The hard disk memory can be accessed by hard wire, WiFi and 3G/4G download, meaning that Live View can be seen remotely by logging in via the internet to the Sentinel-hosted latest Microsoft Azure server.

The unit’s anti-vibration technology enables it to be mounted anywhere within the vehicle  and it also comes with GPS and G-shock recording as standard, bespoke alarm inputs and remote monitoring/download. It also features a lockable hard drive and back-up SD card to help preserve evidence in the event of theft from the vehicle.

Allan Robertson, director at Sentinel Systems, commented: “This is an incredibly versatile mobile DVR system with a lot of advanced features. The new technology is ideal for installation in large and small vans and commercial vehicles at an extremely affordable price. We believe that it is important to provide an affordable fully featured high quality surveillance system for all road users to promote overall enhanced safety on our roads.”
