AA tops winners list at Iveco Daily Mission Awards 2024

Iveco has revealed the winners of its Daily Mission Awards 2024, topped by the AA.

  • The AA Overall Winners 2

Returning for their fourth year, the awards recognise and celebrate operators that use the Iveco Daily to its fullest potential to complete the most challenging missions. The awards encompass four categories: Construction & Utilities, Grounds Maintenance & Forestry, Specialist Vehicles, and Delivery. A trio of special awards further celebrate the Iveco Daily’s diversity.

Broadcaster and journalist Laura Winter hosted the awards, alongside special guests two-time Britian’s Strongest Man Adam Bishop, and British Olympics icon Eddie ‘The Eagle’ Edwards.

2024 Iveco Daily Mission Award Winners:

Construction & Utilities – O’Connor Utilities

Manchester-based utility and civil engineering partner O’Connor Utilities runs a fleet of 30 Iveco Daily panel vans, supplied by Northern Commercials. These are decked out with reinforced wall and floor coverings and a bespoke Vanliners cargo area.

Grounds Maintenance & Forestry – Down To Earth Trees

Down To Earth Trees uses the Iveco Daily, along with its ladder chassis, a bespoke body build by Southern Vehicle Bodies and a 2XL Repair and Maintenance contract from Iveco and Northern Commercials to keep its vehicle’s running costs predictable and affordable.

Specialist Vehicle – The AA

The AA’s 4.25-tonne Iveco eDaily CRT van is capable of recovering vehicles and comfortably accommodating customers while they wait. Supplied by Northern Commercials, the Victory Conversions body equips this eDaily to recover everything from motorbikes to 4x4s, using its 3,250kg towing capacity. It’s paired with the AA’s advanced Freewheeling Hubs for enhanced performance. Plus, the vehicle features secure, lockable storage for tools, fire-fighting gear, and first aid supplies, ensuring mission readiness.

Delivery – Collins Seafood

Collins Seafood helps keep the nations chippies with stocked with fresh fish, and its fleet of 14 7.2-tonne Iveco Daily freezer box vans are integral to the 30,000 mile-per-year mission. Iveco’s Winter Pack provides a heated windscreen, night heater, automatic wipers and headlight controls, as well as safety features such as traction plus, hill descent, crosswind assist, and a tyre pressure warning system. Supplied by North East Truck & Van, with a box freezer build by Solomon Commercials, these Dailys keep goods cold and fresh from the first to last mile of the journey.

Livery of the Year – Collins Seafood

Another award win for Collins Seafood saw it net ‘Livery of the Year’ with Mission Award audience members voting for the eye-catching Daily box van. Its deep shade of blue and seafaring graphics make for a popular winner.

Bodybuilder of the Year – Bloomfields Horseboxes

Founded in 2005 when Dean Moody built a horsebox at his parents’ home, Bloomfields has bloomed into a globally recognised brand – and in 2023, completed its first build on an Iveco Daily. Utilising a 7.2-tonne 5100 wheelbase Daily, Bloomfields was able to maintain a market-leading payload whilst offering a bespoke and luxury build for customers, with room for either three ponies or two horses.

eDaily Innovation – Torton Bodies

Torton Bodies has nearly 80 years of experience in creating mobile exhibitions, libraries, clinics, and more. This year, the firm has flexed its expertise and creativity by creating a fully electric Iveco eDaily mobile library. The 7.2-tonne 4750 wheelbase eDaily features three batteries, for a mix of range and payload.

Overall Iveco Daily Mission Award 2024 – The AA

This year’s overall Iveco Daily Mission Award winner for 2024 is the AA with its converted eDaily zero-emission recovery vehicle. With bespoke storage for tools and safety equipment, and a comfortable cab for crew and stranded drivers, this Iveco eDaily is a beacon for what is possible for an eLCV.
