ACFO to further boost membership numbers at 2016 Silverstone Fleet Show

The event takes place on 11 May at the iconic Silverstone Circuit and will see ACFO included among a host of top-profile fleet service organisations and car manufacturers.

Furthermore the Fleet Show will be the first national event where ACFO and the Institute of Car Fleet Management (ICFM) will each be exhibiting after announcing earlier this year that they were forging closer links.

By working together more closely, the aim is to promote the benefits of professional fleet management and the importance of training and education, coupled with the implementation of best practice.

ACFO, which is a non-profit making organisation, represents the interests of fleet operators in the UK, promoting their views to government, motor manufacturers and industry suppliers. It also promotes operating best practice and tackles key issues through regular conferences and seminars.

The organisation added that with fleet management becoming ever-more complex as it evolves to cover employee mobility, employees with a wide range of job titles and operating in a cross-section of employment sectors require greater knowledge and experience to ensure efficiency, effectiveness and value for money is achieved within their respective organisations.

ACFO has been set up to offer such employees a chance to network with fleet decision-maker colleagues and access a wealth of knowledge and information available to help them to drive improved operating efficiencies and effectiveness across their transport and travel operations.

The organisation will be joined at the Show by a large number of other firms demonstrating some of the latest developments, products and services in the fleet arena. Other highlights include a Question Time-style fleet debate with a panel of experts and test driving of more new cars than ever before on three circuits – the National, International and Stowe circuits – plus a road route in the local area, with an emphasis on alternative vehicles.
