ACFO website forms first on new initiatives

The developments follow the appointment of Oxford-based communications agency JJ Marketing as ACFO’s Membership Secretariat Office.

JJ Marketing is providing a wide range of benefits to members and the website, which goes live this Friday (12th April) will be the first initiative.

The redesigned website features a range of new interactive functionality including a forum enabling members to more easily “talk” to each other and gain answers from their peers to help solve issues and fleet-related problems.

Additionally, the website features the very latest ACFO and industry news; a calendar of key ACFO and industry events that enables members to build their own “my events” diary within their own website “dashboard”; and a library of documents including authoritative reports and details of new legislation.

ACFO chairman Julie Jenner (pictured) said: ‘April marks the start of a very exciting new phase in the 40-year history of ACFO and moves the organisation into the 21st century.

‘Our new Membership Secretariat Office provider is a marketing specialist that we believe has the knowledge and expertise to further aid the positioning of ACFO as an organisation that can deliver a wide range of benefits to everyone in the public, private and voluntary sectors that has fleet responsibility.’

The launch of the new website will be followed by other initiatives designed to further increase the significance and influence of the association across the fleet industry and with motor manufacturers and Government departments.

Among the new initiatives will be monthly webinars that will disseminate a wide range of latest information relating to the organisation’s business notably in relation to its work with Government departments.

ACFO also wants to expand its programme of seminars held on key issues and run along similar lines to last year’s Olympic 2012 event, which looked at the successful operation of organisations’ transport during the Games and which was attended by more than 120 fleet managers.

Jenner said: ‘JJ Marketing’s expertise will also be responsible for the creation of an efficient customer relationship management programme. With comprehensive data about the members, what they are doing and what their key interests and concerns are we can make ACFO even more relevant and that, we believe, will also trigger further growth.’
