ALD appoints former Nissan LCV manager to help grow LCV offering

Dale has nearly 30 years’ experience within the automotive industry with a background in sales and operations. He first joined Lombard Vehicle Management in 1989 (formally BCC) and was responsible for their entry into the LCV contract hire marketplace in 2000. At Lombard he grew the business van fleet from 500 to 23,000 commercial vehicles in just 10 years, working with major fleet customers such as BSkyB, British Gas and the AA.

After joining Nissan in 2012, Dale was responsible for a pioneering trial of 28 Nissan e-NV200 vans with British Gas. This trial, the largest of its kind in the UK, will play a major part in helping British Gas achieve its target of a 10% electric fleet by 2015.

Commenting on Dale’s appointment, ALD operations director Greg Taylor said: ‘Matt brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the business and I am delighted that he has chosen to join ALD Automotive in what is an exciting phase of our development. His success will be vital to the growth of our LCV offering as we continue our multi sales strategy into 2014 and beyond.’
