Order books are now open for the all-new Transporter panel van in both diesel and fully electric guise.
Kombi and shuttle variants will follow in spring 2025, while double-cab variants will join in late 2025. And plug-in hybrid versions arrive in 2026.
All variants are available as either standard or long wheelbase, in a choice of three trims – Commerce, Commerce Plus and Commerce Pro.
Launching some 75 years after the original Transporter, the new edition Transporter arrives with more space, increased payload and greater economic efficiency. The seventh-generation Transporter also provides more technology and recently received a Platinum Euro NCAP rating.
Key highlights include a 1.33-tonne payload, an increase of 0.13 tonnes more than the previous model, and a 10% increase in maximum stowage volume to 5.8m3. Volkswagen has also increased the maximum trailer weight (braked with 12% gradient) of this version from 2.5 to 2.8 tonnes for the mid- and high-powered diesel panel van. Meanwhile, maximum dynamic roof load has grown from 150kg to 170kg.
All customers will benefit from an enhanced warranty and service plan at no extra cost. The Volkswagen 5+ Promise comprises five services, two MOTs, a five-year warranty and five years’ roadside assistance.
On business contract hire, the new Transporter is available from £399 per month, with the fully electric derivative available from £459 per month.
To celebrate order books opening, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles is offering a number of finance offers until 31 March 2025. On Solutions Personal Contract Plan, the new Transporter is available with 6.9% APR Representative and a £2,500 deposit contribution on diesel derivatives. Electric Transporter models are available with 4.9% APR Representative and a £2,500 deposit contribution.
