Fuel efficiency, value for money and payload capacity were essential vehicle criteria for Allianz Global Assistance, and every Transporter has been converted to enable its technicians to carry all the essential equipment they need while on the road, including a compact recovery trailer, diagnostic equipment and dedicated storage for jack, axle stands, tools, common vehicle parts and car batteries.
Rob Lunt, deputy operations director at Allianz Global Assistance in the UK, said: ‘We required a fleet with an outstanding all-round performance, great residual values, and excellent fuel economy, but as we operate a 24/7 business, vehicle reliability is also of paramount importance and the Volkswagen Transporter meets all our needs.’
The new Transporter fleet will be supplied from the Birmingham Volkswagen Van Centre, which has worked with Allianz Global Assistance to ensure the vehicles have been converted to the bespoke specification required, and delivered on time.
Alex Smith, director of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, said: ‘Allianz Global Assistance has made a great choice of van. The Transporter’s durability, quality and efficient engines will deliver low running costs and great value for its business, while our Van Centres will ensure the best service for its customers.’
