Alltask invests in new Citan Dualiners for supervisors

The vehicles seat a driver and up to four passengers with two rows of seats, and are supplied by Dealer Sparshatts of Kent. All are Extra-long 109 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY models with 90hp diesel engines and a series of measures including the ECO start/stop function, low rolling resistance tyres and optimised alternator and battery management systems designed to further improve fuel efficiency. A combined figure of up to 65.7 mpg is available on the combined cycle, with CO2 emissions as low as 112 g/km.

Alltask’s vans are used by scaffolding supervisors to attend site meetings, as well as for transporting scaffolders between jobs. The company operates across a broad swathe of southern England and its vans will each typically cover 35,000 miles a year.

To make the vehicles as comfortable as possible for its staff, Alltask additionally specifies its Citans with optional Driver’s Packs, which add air conditioning, as well as electric folding mirrors and ultrasonic rear parking aids.

Commenting on the new additions, Alltask transport manager, Martin Lloyd, said: “Our new Mercedes-Benz vans certainly tick the box in terms of fuel efficiency and emissions reductions, while the feedback from supervisors and others who use them has been resoundingly positive, with the air conditioning proving particularly popular.”

Equally important to Alltask is the customer-focused support it receives from Sparshatts and the Mercedes-Benz Service Care contracts it takes out, under which all routine labour, parts and lubricant costs for four workshop visits are covered.
