Alphabet launches dedicated broker channel

The firm said the new channel ‘strives make Alphabet the lender of choice for electric vehicles and prestige models in the broker/SME arena’ and will provide a bespoke new IT platform to offer Alphabet’s broker partners access to a full suite of funding and ancillary products.

‘We’re delighted to announce the launch of our first-ever dedicated broker channel,’ said Richard Schooling, CEO at Alphabet.

‘Brokers are a hugely important part of the vehicle rental industry, increasing access to mobility services for thousands of SME organisations nationally. Partnering with a select few highly-experienced and approved broker organisations will allow us to provide a greater number of companies with fully-integrated, fit-for-purpose, mobility services – a key objective for Alphabet.’

Alphabet also announced three new appointments to support the new broker channel.

Gavin Davies, Graham Conway and Richard Chadwick join Alphabet’s rapidly growing fleet management team and are ‘tasked with creating a symbiotic partnership arrangement with an exclusive elite group of established brokers in the UK’.

Davies, who previously held two regional director roles at LeasePlan, brings more than 11 years’ experience in the fleet sector and takes the lead as head of indirect sales at Alphabet. He will have key initial responsibility to pioneer the broker channel roll-out and will then continue to develop and head up the indirect sales channel.

Conway, who has been appointed as head of special offer management, also brings nearly a decade of mobility experience from his previous position as head of tactical business at Lex Autolease. As well as further developing service lines and increasing access to Alphabet’s range of integrated mobility solutions, Conway will work closely with approved partners across the UK to drive forward the dedicated channel and build strong broker relationships. In addition, Conway will be responsible for securing exclusive campaigns with all vehicle manufacturers and maintaining relationships with dealer groups.

Chadwick, who previously spent more than eight years with LeasePlan and Black Horse Finance, will work alongside Davies and Conway to ensure the smooth integration of the systems covering the whole broker partner sales lifecycle. He will also be responsible for delivering the roll-out of the bespoke IT platform which will support Alphabet’s broker offer.

‘Gavin, Graham and Richard will play a vital part in the launch and development of the channel and we’re delighted to welcome them on board,’ added Schooling.
