Aquila appoints new group aftermarket manager

Bowen will run the new team – created after Aquila bought the former Bristol Street Commercials dealership – from its base in Avonmouth, Bristol.

He will also take responsibility for dealerships in Gloucester and Swindon, and oversee a workforce of more than 30 people. The three sites each provide a full sales and aftersales service for Iveco.

Bowen’s appointment comes on the back of Roy Morton being appointed as dealer principal for the dealerships.

He brings a wealth of experience to Aquila and has now set his sights on 'making Aquila Italia the best in the business'. He had previously spent 11 years at Pullman Fleet Services, where he was operations manager for five depots in the South East of the country, and also worked for BRS.

‘I have known Aquila managing director Gary Mullaney for five or six years and have the highest regard for him and the company. I am really excited to have joined Aquila and really impressed with everything I have seen so far,’ said Shane Bowen.

‘We want to bring a first-class customer service to the dealership and make sure we do every job right first time and give our customers the best possible experience.

‘Our aim is to grow our customer base both by winning new customers with the best-possible service and encouraging former clients back to us.'

Commenting on Bowen's appointment, Aquila MD, Gary Mullaney, added: 'Shane is a terrific person and exactly the right appointment for this key post within the group. He will ensure that our new Aquila Italia dealerships thrive and are run to the highest standards.'
