The new MAN franchise will sit alongside Aquila’s existing Iveco dealership. The business, which offers parts, servicing and vehicle sales, was purchased from Vertu Motors at the same time as buying two other dealerships in Swindon and Avonmouth.
Established in 2003, Aquila is the main dealer for MAN Truck and Bus, Caterpillar, Isuzu and Neoplan and an authorised repairer for Iveco in Worcester. The company also has operations in Tipton, Telford, Whitchurch, Worcester and Tamworth.
Commenting on the expansion, Roy Morton, managing director of Aquila Italia, said: ‘This is a very exciting time for us, and the launch is the culmination of six months of planning and hard work.
‘Significant investment has allowed us to run a brand new MAN franchise alongside our Iveco franchise in the Gloucester depot, meeting the needs of our local customers quickly and cost effectively.’
