Auto Styling Truckman extends range of hardtops for pick-ups

First introduced in 2013, the commercial vehicle hardtop has proven popular with pick-up truck users and fleet operators in off-highway sectors and industries such as railway track maintenance, power distribution, telecoms and construction.

The British-built hardtop has been specifically designed for industries operating off-road in difficult conditions far away from a workshop environment.

In addition to the new Amarok versions, the Truckman Utility Top is available for Extra and double-cab models of the Ford Ranger, Toyota Hilux and Mitsubishi L200.   An Isuzu version is currently in development, which is expected to be added to the range later this year.

The aim of the Truckman Utility Top is to allow pick-up trucks to offer the storage capacity and usability of a van while maintaining their ability to operate in off-road situations without impacting on the ability to access tools and equipment.

The large, double skins side and rear doors, which are secured by double slam locks, allow flexible access to users bespoke racking and storage systems, which can be installed to create a multipurpose workspace to store and transport tools and equipment.  The doors are designed to channel rain water away from the driver and vehicle contents when opened.

The Truckman Utility Tops’ reinforced roof panel can carry a static weight of 100kg providing further storage space when fitted with carrying systems while keeping the vehicle’s height at less than two metres.

To allow vehicle converters and coach builders to install additional lights and alarms systems, the Truckman Utility Top has a built-in electrical conduit for easy wiring and a white gloss interior for effective wet cleaning.
