Sustainable structural frame contractor B & K Structures has signed up to become a FORS Champion, becoming one of a group of companies to encourage the Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme ethos throughout the supply chain.
The move will see B & K Structures promote FORS at pre-tender and tender stages for all new and potential projects.
The company is as well looking to reduce fuel consumption across its deliveries, cut carbon emissions and help meet its overall target to reduce the environmental impact of its sites.
“As a FORS Champion, we wish to improve the overall levels of safety, efficiency and environmental protection within the industry as well as driving best practice. FORS can help us enhance our health and safety culture within the business,” said Paul Heappey, production and transport manager at B & K Structures.
