Heating and hot water business Baxi has taken delivery of its first batch of all-electric Vauxhall Vivaro vans, supporting plans to electrify its 280-strong LCV fleet.
The consignment of 10 Vivaro Electric vans, delivered in a tie-up involving Vauxhall dealer Greenhous and Novuna Vehicle Solutions, will be used to service and maintain heating and hot water products for Baxi’s customers across the UK.
The vans, which have a range of up to 205 miles and a payload of up to 1,002kg, include racking installed by Sortimo and feature livery supplied by Corby Graphix.
Alongside the vehicles, Novuna Vehicle Solutions has delivered initial driver training in conjunction with Greenhous, educating Baxi employees on the features and benefits of the Vivaro electric vans. It will also provide vehicle maintenance services as well as ongoing dedicated in-life account management support.
The eLCVs, which have a range of up to 205 miles and a payload of up to 1,002kg, support Baxi’s ambition to decarbonise its entire fleet and be carbon-neutral across all its business operations by 2030.
Louise Murton, customer service director at Baxi, commented: “This delivery is an exciting milestone on our transformation towards a fully electric fleet and is fundamental to working towards our sustainability targets.”
She added: “We’re working closely with Novuna and Greenhous to ensure drivers are fully trained to maximise the success of our EV rollout and demonstrate to customers that we’re committed to a zero-carbon future.”
The deal also aligns with Novuna’s goal to fully electrify its entire car and small van fleet of close to 100,000 vehicles by 2030.
Jon Lawes, managing director at Novuna Vehicle Solutions, said: “By working together to support Baxi as they embark on their journey towards a complete zero-emissions fleet across the UK, we are helping them achieve their decarbonisation targets and look forward to building on our partnership demonstrating our expertise as a total assets solutions mobility partner.”
