The dedicated LCV auctions were launched in September and offer a wide selection of vehicles to buyers visiting the auction centre. Up to 200 vehicles are offered each Friday from 10.00am with a range of blue-chip sellers including UKCGR, Lex Autolease, Black Horse, Arnold Clark Contract Hire, Royal Mail, police and local authorities regularly showing stock.
Vans entered by UKCGR, Lex and Black Horse are offered with the benefit of pre-sale video appraisals, which can be viewed online at BCA’s website (www.bca.co.uk), plus BCA Assured, which delivers further confidence for buyers by providing a report on a mechanical check carried out by an independent motoring organisation.
Duncan Ward, BCA’s general manager of commercial vehicles, commented: ‘The new sale on Friday at BCA Glasgow is proving very popular with buyers with a broad selection of stock on offer. With the on-going shortage of used vans, this sale offers everything from car-sized vans, to short, medium and long-wheel base panel vans, 4×4 pick-ups, tippers, fridge vans and mini-buses to meet the needs of buyers.
‘Buyers have been exceptionally positive both about the dedicated sale day for commercial vehicles and the quality of vans on offer. We have also seen a major upsurge in online bidding for commercial vehicles via BCA Live Online at Glasgow, both from local Scottish buyers and from much further afield.'
