Mr Burr, who has been with the company since 2002, takes on responsibility for the two commercial vehicle sales centres at Belle Vue, Manchester and Measham – the biggest in the north and midlands respectively – reporting directly to regional operations director Duncan Ward. Mr Ward retains overall responsibility for BCA’s commercial vehicle sales programme which operates at eight centres nationwide.
Meanwhile, senior group commercial auctioneer Charles Sheffield is retiring from full-time employment following a 40 year career with BCA that included managing the Measham Commercial Centre for a twenty year period until 2010. Mr Sheffield will remain as a part-time consultant to the BCA commercial vehicle team, primarily based at Measham and Belle Vue.
Ward commented: “We are delighted that Dominic Burr has taken on new responsibilities to develop BCA’s market leading services for commercial vehicles at Belle Vue and Measham. BCA offer specialist remarketing facilities and a comprehensive sales programme – both physical and online – to meet the needs of our customers, supported by a wealth of experience in the commercial vehicle field. I am looking forward to working with Dominic to maintain BCA’s market leading position in commercial vehicle sales.
"We are equally pleased that Jonathan Earp has joined the BCA team as a management trainee. Jonathan will be building on his experience by taking on a range of commercial remarketing roles around the BCA network over the coming months.
"We would also like to wish Charles Sheffield well on his retirement following forty years with BCA. Charles has been an important part of our team and his wide-ranging knowledge of the commercial vehicle sector has been pivotal in developing BCA’s market leading commercial vehicle sale team. We are delighted that he will remain as a part-time consultant, meaning we can continue to benefit from his experience,” he added.
