‘Best of the best’ van operators championed at 2024 Logistics UK awards

Logistics UK has championed the “best of the best” van operators at its Van Awards 2024.

All winners will be shortlisted for the Van Business of the Year category at the Logistics Awards 2024

A celebratory lunch took place at the Hyatt Regency Birmingham on 13 September to reveal which of the UK’s most pioneering van businesses were shortlisted across five categories.

The winners are:

  •  Clancy Group – Diversity and Inclusion Award, sponsored by Webfleet
  • 101 Pet Express – Keeping Your Show on the Road, sponsored by AA Business Services
  • Octopus Electroverse – Innovative Van Business of the Year, sponsored by ClearQuote
  • Dundee City Council – Van Decarbonisation Award, sponsored by Lex Autolease
  • Red Corporate Driver Training – Van Safety and Compliance Award, sponsored by Brigade Electronics UK

Almost 70 guests attended the event, which included a three-course meal and entertainment from Northern Ireland musical comedy star Emer Maguire.

The awards play a vital role in hailing the van sector and role it plays in UK logistics.

Kevin Green, director of policy and communications at Logistics UK, said: “Logistics UK is proud to be honouring the van sector and the role it plays in keeping the UK’s supply chain moving, so the winners should feel extremely proud.

“The competition was fierce this year and being selected as a finalist is a great achievement itself. 3.4 million people employed across industries ranging from engineering and construction to emergency and rescue services rely on a van for their job, so it is impossible to understate the contribution the sector makes to all our lives and the broader economy.”

All winners will be shortlisted for the Van Business of the Year category at Logistics UK’s Logistics Awards 2024, which take place on 12 December at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge in London.
