EyeScan signals visible and audible alerts to the driver with an external speaking alarm signaling to cyclists and pedestrians of the vehicle’s intended left turn.
The solution offers Blind Spot Proximity Sensors, Audible Warning Devices, Real Speech Warning Devices, Visibility of Side and Nearside Blind Spots, Internal and External Signs for Cyclists and Pedestrians and Mirror Image Kit for Left hand vehicles.
EyeScan launches as Crossrail, one of the largest engineering projects in Europe, established its mandatory contractor requirement that every HGV working on the project is fitted with sensors and safety equipment to alert drivers of obstacles. The project mandate ensures that vehicles not compliant will be turned away and the contractor may be liable for any costs incurred.
Recently there has been a series of campaigns to help decrease the number of cycling incidents in major towns and cities. THINK! Is working in partnership with Transport for London (TfL) to extend their "Tips" campaign to other cities in the UK.
