Bold new ‘AdVans’ from Generation Logistics to spark interest on the streets

Generation Logistics is supercharging its work to raise awareness for the sector with three liveried ‘AdVans’ out on the streets for the GCSE results weekend.

The Generation Logistics AdVans will be out on the streets to target potential new logistics recruits

The mobile billboards for the sector will roam the roads of Manchester, Birmingham and Nottingham over the bank holiday weekend to raise awareness of the careers that the logistics industry has to offer.

The vans carry the campaign’s distinctive orange and black livery along with messages for those considering their career options after receiving their results. Backed by a QR code, the campaign will encourage young people to interact with the opportunities that the industry has to offer on the spot.

Phil Roe, the campaign’s executive sponsor, explained: “We all know that young people want instant experiences, from social media to direct contact with opportunities and so we are using the AdVans to test their response to our campaign exactly where they spot them, on the streets.

“By using QR codes on the vehicles, we are confident that young people that spot our vans out and about will interact with them there and then – it’s an opportunity to demonstrate how forward thinking and different our industry is, and challenge any preconceptions that they may have about our sector.”

Anyone who spots the Generation Logistics AdVans can support the campaign by posting images on social media with the hashtag #GenerationLogistics.

The activity is also timed to kickstart the campaign’s Back to School focus, as well as the start of its third year.

Roe continued: “We have ambitions to extend our work into junior schools in our third year, as well as continuing to work with senior schools and across social media to raise awareness of the sector.”

Logistics UK, which runs the campaign along with CILT UK, is also calling for potential sponsors to come onboard to gain benefits of the awareness that Generation Logistics creates for career opportunities in the industry. For more details, please email [email protected].
