Brake to run fleet webinar on CSR & road safety

Hosted by road safety charity Brake, the low-cost webinar is being held on Thursday 3rd October at 10.30am – 12pm GMT.

The webinar will discuss approaches to CSR and how work-related road safety fits into the wider CSR context. Delegates will learn the importance of getting involved in community initiatives including Road Safety Week, and hear from examples of companies that have successfully integrated road safety into their CSR strategies.

Fleet safety experts Dr Will Murray, research director, Interactive Driving Systems and Tracey Scarr, CSR manager, Arval will explore the importance road safety to CSR, how it fits into the bigger picture, how fleets can promote road safety messages to colleagues and supply chains. This will include low-cost ways organisations can meet CSR objectives, and the benefits of doing so.

Simon Gray, fleet compliance manager from MITIE, will present a best practice case study on the steps his company has taken to engage its drivers with road safety.

Book online today for the special low rate of £20 + VAT for Brake subscribers (£40 + VAT for non-subscribers), or contact Brake on [email protected] or +44 (0)1484 559909.

Ellie Pearson, senior professional engagement officer at Brake, commented: 'Work-related road safety should be a key part of the CSR strategy of any organisation employing drivers. In today's competitive environment it's increasingly important for businesses to demonstrate their social responsibility, which they can do by improving safety and minimising environmental impact. This webinar is essential training for managers in organisations with at-work drivers; attendees will learn how to create a road safety culture both in their organisation, and in the wider community.'
