Brake webinar to outline ‘safe system’ approach for fleet managers

Fleets can sign up to a free webinar outlining how to adopt a ‘safe system’ approach to road safety to reduce road risks for drivers and other road users.

The webinar will outline how the safe systems approach can help end the tragedy of road deaths and serious injuries

Taking place tomorrow, the webinar is being run by Brake as part of its free-to-join Global Fleet Champions campaign, and will set out how the best way to prevent road deaths and injuries is by designing roads, vehicles and policies in such a way that human error doesn’t lead to death or serious injury.

The webinar, sponsored by Lytx, will also explore how new technology can help prevent one of their vehicles being involved in a crash, and how fleet operators can call for the introduction of a wider safe systems approach across the transport industry.

Damian Penney, vice president of Lytx, Europe, said: “Lytx is pleased to support Brake and this webinar on safe systems for fleet managers. Improving driver safety is an important way to manage work-related road risk; by adhering to the safe systems approach to road safety, utilising technology and embracing fleet safety best practice, we can reduce the risk of dangerous collisions and help keep the roads safe.”

The webinar takes place on Tuesday 12 May 2020 at 2pm BST. Delegates can register by booking online at https://globalfleetchampions.org/events/safe-systems-for-fleet-managers/
