Bri-Stor Systems has unveiled its brand-new Centre of Excellence, reflecting the group’s commitment to the growth of its teams and the continuous development of skills across the workforce.
Opened by special guest Sir Gavin Williamson, Member of Parliament for Stone, Great Wyrley and Penkridge, the facility will serve as a dedicated resource for training and development.
The hub for new skills development will offer three distinct training modules, specifically designed to support its three pillars of development: Initiate, Rejuvenate and Elevate.
The Initiate stage will see new starters receive a comprehensive induction into the business, gaining a deep understanding of each part of the operation, as well as how every element works together to drive success.
The Rejuvenate stage involves current colleagues undertaking refresher courses, ensuring the highest level of quality is maintained throughout each stage of production, and taking onboard new technologies and innovations.
And finally, the Elevate stage provides opportunities for Bri-Stor Systems’ colleagues to develop their personal and professional skills, paving the way for a long, rewarding and fulfilling career path.
As well as offering hands-on experience, the Centre of Excellence integrates modern technology with practical learning. Recently, Bri-Stor Systems launched the use of virtual reality into its van conversion process to minimise prototype waste and reduce vehicle lead times by up to 75%, all while improving sustainable practices due to less travel and manufacturing emissions. This technology has now been made available for training in the Centre of Excellence, offering colleagues the chance to grow their skills and embrace modern technologies.
The Hex Group, Bri-Stor parent firm, said it’s committed to attracting and training a new generation of skilled workers.
Karen Barnacle, group people & culture director, commented: “The Centre of Excellence is just one example of how we’re investing in our people, ensuring they can face new challenges and continuously develop. With a dedicated Learning and Development Group Leader, responsible for the centre, we’re able to offer industry-leading mentorship and provide the business with a continuous flow of highly skilled workers.”
Sir Gavin Williamson added: “This new training centre will provide invaluable opportunities for staff at all stages of their journey, empowering them to grow, adapt and build fulfilling careers.”
