Supported by TravelWest, the Nissan e-NV200 will be charged at a new socket located in front of the Administration building and transport staff around the 176-hectare site without any tailpipe emissions. The airport will also install two charging points in the short stay car park, available for use by visitors, by the end of the month.
Melanie King, environment manager at Bristol Airport said: ‘Sustainability is a key focus for us and we are always looking to explore technology which can help us reduce our impact on the local environment. This is one of several initiatives we will be progressing over the course of the next 12 months in recognition of Bristol’s status as European Green Capital.’
