Citroën launches Euro 6.2-compliant Relay Ready To Run range

Citroën UK has added Euro 6.2-compliant powertrains to its Relay ‘Ready to Run’ conversions range, as well as to its Relay chassis cab, chassis crew cab, floor cab and back to back offering.

The Euro 6.2-compliant powertrains are available for the Relay ‘Ready to Run’ range, as well as the Relay chassis cab, chassis crew cab, floor cab and back to back offering

The move follows the launch of the latest Euro 6.2-compliant Citroën Relay panel van range in the summer and introduces a new 2.2-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine, offered with 140hp for ‘X’ variants and 165hp for ‘Plus’ variants. Both versions feature automatic stop and start technology and a six-speed manual, and are available to order now.

‘Plus’ models feature standard equipment including air conditioning, a heavy-duty battery, extended wiring at the rear of the vehicle, a tri-function aerial housed in the exterior rear view mirror. Chassis cab and chassis crew cab models also benefit from heavy-duty reinforced rear suspension.

The interior on ‘Plus’ models also offers built-in cup holders and smartphone storage in place of the lower central glovebox, while a storage tray in the centre of the dashboard replaces the folding clipboard.

The updated Ready to Run also includes new options, such as the Touchscreen Navigation Pack, which incorporates DAB digital radio with steering mounted controls; a five-inch colour touchscreen; Bluetooth hands free and a USB socket. A dash-mounted USB socket is also available as a separate option.

Customers can also choose the Drive Assist Pack, which includes active safety brake, collision alert, lane departure warning, smart beam headlights and speed limit recognition.

Ed Hickin, Citroën UK’s head of business sales, said: “The latest Euro 6.2-compliant Relay ‘Ready to Run’ range ensures that Citroën Relay customers needing converted vehicles benefit from the latest upgrades in convenience and driver assistance systems, as well as the new 2.2-litre Euro 6.2 low emission engine. With our range of Relay chassis cab, chassis crew cab, floor cab and back to back models, we can provide the most suitable platform for a wide range of vehicle conversions.”
