Citroën has introduced a new ‘Power to the People’ brand philosophy in the UK, reinforcing its commitment to making electrification accessible to all.
The new approach highlights the expanding line-up of electrified Citroën models available to buyers in the UK.
The brand already has a range of nine electric and plug-in hybrid models that includes a full line-up of eLCVs and runs from the Ami Electric to the ë-Relay electric van.
As part of its electrification strategy, Citroën will provide an electrified variant of every vehicle in its entire vehicle range by 2025.
Eurig Druce, Citroën’s UK managing director, said: “Our existing range of nine electrified models already fulfils a diverse range of needs and is proof that electric vehicles are a practical option, whether it’s for the school run or to run your business. Crucially, our products are affordable, ensuring that everyone can enjoy the benefits of driving an electric vehicle. We believe that we offer ‘every kind of electric for all kinds of people’, which is why we’ve introduced our new electrification philosophy – Power to the People!”
Launching imminently in the UK, the Ami two-seater mobility solution has a WLTP range of up to 45 miles and a top speed of 28mph. It will be joined by the Ami Cargo Electric this year, designed as a last-mile delivery solution in urban areas, with a payload of up to 140kg and a maximum load capacity of 400 litres.
Citroën’s electric passenger car line-up includes the ë-C4 Electric, with a range of up to 219 miles, as well as the ë-Berlingo Electric and ë-SpaceTourer electric MPVs.
It also offers plug-in hybrid versions of the C5 Aircross and C5 X – the brand’s new flagship model. Both PHEVs combine a 1.6-litre PureTech 180 petrol engine with a 109hp electric motor, providing up to 34 miles of electric-only range.
In 2021, Citroën became one of only a small number of brands able to offer a fully electric variant across its entire LCV range, consisting of the compact ë-Berlingo van, mid-size ë-Dispatch and large ë-Relay,
