Claret Civil Engineering invests in first Mercedes-Benz Vans

The company’s 11 Sprinter 313 CDIs have been assigned to its newly won Integrated Maintenance and Repair contract for Anglian Water. All are ply-lined and fitted with beacons, working lights and tow-bars, and were supplied to schedule by Orwell Truck & Van.

The new vans are the subject of a Mercedes-Benz Service Care contract covering all routine parts and labour costs, and will be maintained in the Dealer’s Ipswich and Norwich workshops.

Managing Director Andy Gibbons said: “We understood when we were awarded this prestigious contract that we would need to increase our vehicle fleet to deliver the work, so we considered several manufacturers and suppliers.

“Orwell Truck & Van immediately stood out as the most responsive. Its fleet van sales manager Mark Gittens was quick to react and came up with a very attractive package. We know the Sprinter enjoys an excellent reputation for reliability and durability, as well as offering attractive running costs and leading the market in terms of safety.

“Orwell, meanwhile, is very well regarded locally for its back-up, and the Service Care contract offers the peace of mind of a high level of cover for a very fair price. All of these factors combined to make a compelling case for our first investment in Mercedes-Benz vehicles.”
