Converted Crafter trial could lead to 200-strong fleet overhaul at ATS

ATS Euromaster is to test out six converted Volkswagen Crafters ahead of a potential 200-strong fleet overhaul of its mobile servicing vehicles.

The Crafter conversion includes a full mobile workshop with tyre-fitting accessories

The initial consignment of front- and rear-wheel Crafters will be converted to full mobile workshops, including air compressors, tyre-fitting machinery and a full racking solution, enabling their use to carry out servicing work to UK drivers.

Following the trials, ATS Euromaster is looking to replace all of its 200-strong nationwide mobile fleet with Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles models by early 2020.

The tyre and servicing specialist opted for Volkswagen’s vans for their reliability plus the flexibility of the brand’s Van Centre network.

ATS Euromaster operations director Mark Lynch said: “The purpose of our mobile fleet is to keep other UK fleets on the move, so it’s vital that our own fleet is kept running all day, every day. Our values of customer-first approach, expertise, and honesty align perfectly with the product and aftersales offering from Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles. We’re excited to see how the Crafter performs as we prepare for a full fleet overhaul soon.”
