CoolKit to reduce production time & improve quality with new technology

The new CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machining centre installed at its newly extended Padiham facilities is equipped with a multi-function worktable, incorporating a five-axis machining head to machine plastics, resins and light alloys used in CoolKit’s refrigerated vans.

CoolKit managing director Rupert Gatty said: “This is a very exciting development for us. We anticipate that our new machine will lift our quality and productivity to new levels.

“This new technology will allow us to reduce production time by up to 75% while producing product that is better engineered, easier to install and therefore even more effective in regulating temperature.  In addition, we plan to utilise it to develop a range of new components, whilst also working on product improvements and innovations.

“CoolKit’s continued sales growth demonstrates that we already have a great reputation in our industry, and this latest investment is part of our continued aim to be a leader in the field.”
