Exhibiting recently at the CV Show, the IAFF reported good footfall from show visitors eager to learn more about what the independent aftermarket can offer when it comes to OE-quality parts, service and warranty.
Wendy Williamson, IAAF chief executive designate, said: ‘Attending the CV Show was extremely useful. We were able to meet lots of hauliers and fleet operators who had no idea how comprehensive the independent aftermarket offering is and how it can drastically reduce their fleet running costs – without compromising the quality of the parts used or service given.
‘The independent aftermarket is a realistic alternative to the CV dealer network. There is a distinct feeling that people are beginning to recognise that and we’ll continue to highlight it.’
To illustrate the quality of independent aftermarket parts, the IAAF ran a competition that invited visitors to try and make a distinction between parts offered by independent aftermarket brands and alternative OE parts. There were no marked differences between the parts, except where they were purchased.
