Dawsonrentals | vans expands Newcastle branch to meet demand

The branch opened its original site in April 2013, but has already outgrown the space. Since opening, the depot has seen a year-on-year rent increase of 18%, and is now close to achieving a fleet size of 1,000.

The significant operation will add 0.8 acres to the site, which will support the business through its growth and allow for further rental opportunities.

An installation of one of Dawsongroup’s Portable Auto Centres (PAC) will be included in the new expansion, which will enable customers to bring vehicles in for repair or maintenance, with the option to hire an immediate replacement and instantly be back in full operation during the service. This means that whilst the depot will be able to offer increased rentals, it can also provide services to strengthen customer fleets, improve reliability on the road and enable fleet operators to quickly estimate and cost-effectively repair hired vehicles.

Gareth Jones, managing director at Dawsonrentals | vans, commented: “Our Newcastle branch continues to lead the way in driving success across the North East. It is testament to the fantastic team we have based there that after just three years in operation, the site is already in need of expansion. I have no doubt that they will reach the 1,000 vehicle mark in no time.”
