Van operators now have extra time to submit their entries for this year’s Van Excellence awards, providing an further opportunity to showcase their contribution to the industry.
Due to close for entries last week, the awards deadline has now been extended to 29 September by the FTA following a flurry of late entries.
The awards will be held at a lunch at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Birmingham on 12 November 2019 and will recognise eight categories – including the ‘Van Hero of the Year’ accolade, which is open to operators who are not Van Excellence Accredited.
Mark Cartwright, head of vans and light commercial vehicles at FTA, said: “If you are a van operator committed to placing compliance, safety, technological innovation and driver wellbeing at the heart of your business, make sure you do not miss the chance to be recognised as an industry leader in your field of expertise. With so many nominations coming in thick and fast, it seemed only fair to extend the deadline to give more operators the chance to showcase their successes.
“As the van market continues to grow rapidly, it is important to recognise and reward the operators consistently leading the way in excellence and setting a high standard for others to follow.”
