Driver CPC training helps Cemex comply with FORS Gold requirements

Cemex has turned to using Fleet Source to provide its drivers with CPC training, in a move to fulfil its FORS Gold requirements.

The company, which runs a national supply network supplying materials including cement as well as other services, previously used two in-house trainers to meet all its driver training requirements but the move to FORS Gold accreditation along with a growing number of drivers on its books meant it had to look for an external provider.

To ensure all 340 drivers were trained with minimal downtime, Fleet Source ran 18 FORS-Approved, Safe Urban Driving Vulnerable Road User courses over just a few days. The company also took care of all logistical planning, including the set-up of the training room and location, a trainer for the course and all equipment necessary.

“We were overwhelmed by how helpful, friendly and professional the Fleet Source team were, they did everything they possibly could to make driver training painless for us, especially with the amount of complexities involved in getting our drivers all trained,” commented Simon Spelman, area logistics manager, Cemex. For more of latest industry news, click here.
