Driver Hire’s eLearning module awarded FORS approval

FORS, the Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme, has included Driver Hire’s module on vulnerable road users as part of the FORS Professional training.

The module teaches the law in relation to the safety of vulnerable road users.

The module teaches drivers about the law in relation to the safety of vulnerable road users, as well as information about the dangers of speeding, and is part of a number of eLearning modules offered by Driver Hire’s risk management division.

“FORS has always had a strong focus on training as we believe that this is critical to the ongoing success of a fleet,” said Paul Wilkes, FORS business services manager. “As well as providing our own training, we are delighted when companies like Driver Hire provide courses to our members, helping them improve the capabilities of their drivers and ultimately reduce the risk to vulnerable road users.”

“ELearning is increasing in popularity as a training method to encourage continual professional development,” added John Keelan-Edwards, Driver Hire’s risk management and group technology services director. “Because drivers can complete the training anytime, anywhere, it means it can be undertaken at times that are both convenient and cost effective – without the need to arrange special training days.”
