DriveTech has refreshed and improved its online risk assessment and expanded the range of e-learning modules significantly to ensure flexible and tailored solutions for fleets.
Offered as part of the firm’s wide range of driver risk management and driver training products, the online driver risk assessments have been developed to offer a cost-effective and accessible way to assess the risk of fleet drivers. Redeveloped in-house by the DriveTech Product Solutions team, the new modules bring refreshed graphics and content, and can be completed 24/7 via desktop, laptop, tablet or even smartphone.
This ensures minimal driver downtime but still bringing a highly comprehensive ‘risk exposure’ profile among a company’s drivers, used to identify any who are high risk.
DriveTech has also expanded the e-learning modules from an original 12 to 24, each running to approximately 10 minutes in length, and added 72 further micro-modules. The latter are designed to serve as follow-on shorter but still punchy ‘bitesize’ refresher learnings ideal to complete on a smartphone during a normal working day.

The 24-strong topic areas cover all key aspects of modern driving and driving preparations, from Reducing Driving Anxiety and Vulnerable Road Users, to Managing Tiredness & Fatigue, and Alcohol & Drug Awareness. They can be deployed following the driver’s assessment as part of a list of recommended e-learnings or taken at a specific time; for example Winter Driving can be run in the approach to colder and potentially more hazardous road and weather conditions. These can be followed up by the short micro teach modules.
