Already available within the car line-up, the six-speed transmission is available to order now on dCi 90 and dCi 110 1.5-litre diesel versions of the van.

Thanks to its dual-clutch set-up, the EDC brings faster shifts while also offering drivers an ‘up/down’ shift mode. It also features ‘creep’ control for both crawling traffic and for safe starts on an incline in partnership with the standard Hill Start Assist, and can be used in ECO mode, cutting fuel consumption by up to 10%.

Weighing an extra 28kg compared with the manual, the Kangoo dCi 90 EDC offers official fuel economy of 55.4mpg on the combined cycle (NEDC) and emits 136g/km of CO2. This compares to 112g/km and 65.7mpg for the dCi 90 manual model.

Prices for the Kangoo dCi EDC start from £17,395 excluding VAT.
