Engineius supports self-employed drivers with rewards programme

Vehicle movement specialist Engineius is expanding its work with insurance platform Collective Benefits to help protect its network of over 500 self-employed drivers.

Engineius drivers now have access to a range of ‘bundles’, including time off work; wellness, mobility, and other incentives and benefits

The two firms partnered together early in 2020 to create the Engineius Plus driver rewards programme, helping reduce risks and increase the perks for workers.

Each bundle includes a number of products within it, from compensation for accidental death or disablement and mental health support, to rewards which save time and money where it matters, including childcare support and phone insurance.

Calum Slowther, commercial director for Engineius, said: “We’re have been delighted with Collective Benefits so far in providing our self-employed network protections typically reserved for full-time employees.

“Many independent workers have been pushed into financial hardship due to this pandemic, so to provide best-in-class reward options and the financial safety net for those that need it most makes Collective Benefits the ideal people-first business partner.”

Chris Cowley, a driver for Engineius, commented: “Having protections such as sick pay, compassionate leave and paternity pay available gives me peace of mind in the event I have to take time off work, and the discounts to help with my weekly shops go a long way. Also, having access to things like tax advice are, for me, essential in my first self-employed role.”
