ePower Trucks launches new last-mile all-electric delivery vehicles

ePower Trucks has expanded its range of specialist all-electric LCVs with new last-mile delivery vehicles.

ePower Trucks’ new last-mile electric delivery vehicles are designed for couriers, post and parcel delivery and last-mile logistics applications

Dubbed the X-Cell and X-Cell Micro, both vehicles are designed for couriers, post and parcel delivery and last-mile logistics applications, and offer a range of up to 120 miles. This is combined with a top speed of up to 50mph and up to a 500kg payload. Multiple cargo bed configurations are available.

The X-Cell comes in three models – the X-Cell, X-Cell Pro, and X-Cell Pro+. It’s designed with a reinforced steel frame for increased protection and features the battery pack at the bottom of the vehicle, making the centre of gravity lower than similar vans in its class and reducing the risk of rollover.

It’s joined by the X-Cell Micro three-wheel vehicle, which is designed for light loads such as postal and takeaway deliveries, and is available in two variants. These bring a top speed of 25mph, payloads of 250kg or 100kg, and a range of up to 55 miles. The Micro can be customised with a refrigeration box, insulated box for hot food and drink, or be fitted with an adaptable cargo box.

Bobby Cullen, sales director north, said: “The X-Cell series further expands our unique offering in all-electric last mile delivery vehicles. The last mile is often the costliest as well as a significant contributor to emissions. These compact, safe all-electric vehicles can help change that.”

The vehicles are backed by a range of finance options and supported by a nationwide network of aftersales engineers.

The new last-mile electric delivery vehicles launch in the UK as ePower Trucks celebrates its 20th anniversary. The business is one of the UK’s largest independent providers of commercial electric vehicles and already works with major parcel carriers.
