Europcar introduces enhanced safe distance ‘Deliver and Collect’ service

Europcar has updated its ‘Deliver & Collect’ solution and launched a new ‘Click & Collect’ service with enhanced safe distancing to provide “the most convenient and safest way” to rent a vehicle in the market today.

The new ‘Click & Collect’ service provides customers with the ability to bypass the need to enter a rental station to pick up a vehicle

The Deliver & Collect service provides renters with nationwide home and workplace vehicle delivery and collection at a time that suits the customer, and is being made available throughout summer from only £1 each way while also benefiting from enhanced safe distancing.

Renters can also make use of a new ‘Click & Collect’ service, providing customers with the ability to bypass the need to enter a rental station to pick up a vehicle. Customers are met in a designated Click & Collect area of the car park where a member of staff hands over the keys and rental agreement at a safe distance.

The latest measures are intended to create a ‘new normal’ in the rental industry; Europcar already offers a group-wide ‘Safety Programme’ that provides a 20-point vehicle hygiene check, accredited by the RAC, and is carried out between each rental using a specially formulated sanitiser that conforms to British Standard EN1276.

Gary Smith, managing director, Europcar Mobility Group UK, commented: “At Europcar Mobility Group we recognise that things have changed during the Coronavirus pandemic, and so have we. Our ‘Click and Collect’ and ‘Deliver and Collect’ services offer our customers options that offer peace of mind, safety and convenience.”
