Europcar specialist van fleet to keep fleets moving safely this winter

As the UK braces itself for the likely return of the ‘Beast from the East’ ahead of Christmas, Europcar Mobility Group UK is ensuring its specialist fleet of vans is ready to keep businesses moving safely this winter.

Europcar offers a range of vehicles, including traffic management dropsides, single and double cab tippers, 4×4 pickups and ready-to-go Chapter 8-compliant vehicles

The mobility giant offers a range of vehicles, including traffic management dropsides, single and double cab tippers, 4×4 pickups and ready-to-go Chapter 8-compliant vehicles – all able to make sure it’s business-as-usual for fleets this winter.

“Our specialist van fleet is crucial for our customers to ensure that they can meet their day to day demands when the harsh winter weather hits,” stated Keith Shorter, Europcar Vans & Trucks director. “We know that Christmas can be an extremely crucial time of year for businesses, which is why we have enhanced our van fleet to be able to give fleet managers the vehicles they need to get the job done.

Shorter also highlighted fleets’ duty of care to make sure their drivers are safe when driving on the roads this winter.

“Knowing that their vehicles come from a rental specialist and are maintained to the highest standard means that firms gain extra peace of mind. Vehicle rental is also a great solution to tackle driving in difficult weather as it gives businesses access to a wide range of suitable vehicles at short notice.”

Customers also benefit from efficient support with any damage or maintenance issues on rental vans, thanks to Europcar’s business partnerships with Halfords and Kwik Fit. Access to 1,400+ FastFit locations for SMR requirements and UK-wide coverage for windscreen replacements – as well as a number of mobile repairers who can fix small SMR requirements – provides further peace of mind for drivers.

Europcar also continues to invest in the quality and range of vehicles on its fleet. Shorter continued: “This puts us in the best position to help keep businesses and key organisations moving, regardless of what the Great British weather throws at us.”

The 10,000-strong Europcar commercial vehicle fleet runs from small panel vans to crew vans and all the way up to tippers and traffic management drop sides. The line-up also includes a growing number of electric and hybrid commercial vehicles, with any vehicle available to be customised with livery, tow bars, internal racking and more, to suit individual customer requirements.
