Europcar to expand UK Van Supersite network under new CV director role

Europcar Mobility Group UK has created a new senior role in the business – UK van & truck director – to help spearhead its increased focus on commercial vehicle solutions.

David Saint, UK van & truck director, at Europcar Mobility Group

David Saint, who was previously van & truck director at Europcar Mobility Group Germany and has extensive experience in the van rental sector, has been appointed to the new role. Reporting direct to UK managing director, Gary Smith, Saint will be responsible for expanding initiatives such as the UK Van Supersite network, as well as looking at future schemes to help UK businesses meet the Government’s emissions objectives.

“With the change in the UK economy, and the Government’s push to end the sale of new petrol and diesel cars and vans by 2040, the industry will be seeing some major transformations,” said Saint. “Add to this the burgeoning logistics marketplace and growing gig economy changing the way the van rental industry operates, it’s clear that future business mobility will require some imaginative thinking. It’s exciting times!”

Gary Smith added: “We are delighted David is heading up our Van & Truck division in the UK. He has an enviable knowledge of the industry and we’re very much looking forward to help UK businesses navigate through the range of challenges in the coming years.”
