Aston Barclay has appointed former Manheim general manager Danny Healey to the newly created position of head of LCV development.
Healey will be responsible for further growing Aston Barclay’s used LCV business, including building its vendor and buyer base and its sale programme.
The appointment follows Aston Barclay’s launch of a fourth LCV sale at Chelmsford during October, joining the existing Leeds, Westbury and Donington programmes, which dispose of hundreds of LCVs each week.
Healey has more than 38 years’ experience of working in the auction industry and an in-depth knowledge of the LCV remarketing sector. He spent 13 years as branch manager at BCA Cardiff, followed by 25 years as general manager for Manheim UK, part of Cox Automotive.
Mark Hankey, Aston Barclay’s chief revenue officer, said: “We are pleased to welcome Danny to the team.
“With his huge amount of experience and knowledge he is the perfect person to further grow our LCV business.”
Danny Healey added: “Aston Barclay has been growing its LCV business for a while now and has built up a good reputation with both buyers and vendors.
“It is an exciting opportunity to further grow this area of the auction business by using my expertise and contacts. I look forward to working with the team.”
