The facelifted Mercedes-Benz Vito is on sale now

Revealed this spring, and due to be joined later this summer by the extended-range eVito Tourer, the updated model is available in a choice of three lengths and as a panel or crew van priced from £22,845 (excluding VAT). Design upgrades are slight but bigger changes lie under the bonnet, including a new 2.0-litre turbodiesel to power all rear-wheel drive variants. The unit, already seen in the passenger car range, is available in 134hp, 160hp and 187hp variants, which can be specified in all three trims on offer: Progressive, Premium and Sport – with the Sport trim purely for the crew van. Progressive models get a six-speed manual solely, while a new 9G-Tronic Plus automatic is offered on the Premium and standard on the Sport.

The Vito is also offered in front-wheel drive guise, solely in the Progressive trim, in the form of an entry-level 1.7-litre turbo diesel in 100hp and 134hp with six-speed manual only.

Entry-level equipment on the Progressive trim includes twin sliding doors and reversing camera along with front fog lamps, headlight assistant, heated and electrically adjustable mirrors, anti-theft package, cruise control and Audio 30 system with DAB radio and Apple and Android Car Play integration. Advanced driver assistance features include Active Brake Assist, Attention Assist and Crosswind Assist. Comfort features includes an eight-way adjustable comfort driver’s sea with lumbar support, double co-driver seat with airbag, height- and rake-adjustable multi-function steering wheel, and a locking glovebox.

The Premium model is priced from £29,550 (excl. VAT) and includes 17-inch alloy wheels, a chrome radiator grille, metallic paint, parking package, colour-coded bumpers, electrically folding exterior mirrors and air conditioning.

The Sport trim for crew customers is priced from £40,745 (excl. VAT) and includes Auto 40 infotainment system with navigation, DAB+ and seven-inch colour touchscreen, black leatherette upholstery, heated front seats, sports suspension, AMG side skirts, LED head and tail lamps, roof rails, heated windscreen washers, a larger flue and AdBlue tank, along with chrome interior styling and ‘Sport’ decals.

All models come with Mercedes Pro Connect telematics as standard and feature three years’ free access to Optimised Assistance, giving real-time reports of critical parts and fluids, journey logs, theft warning alerts, live locking from a mobile phone, geofencing, Accident & Breakdown Management, and live traffic information.
