Family firm takes delivery of 200th Toyota pickup

Cornwall-based WH Bond and Sons has taken delivery of its 200th Toyota Hilux.

WH Bond has been a loyal Hilux customer for the past 28 years

The family business has used the Toyota pickup for the past 28 years, both as transport for employees and as part of its hire fleet, alongside other vehicles and plant equipment.

The company’s landmark 200th Hilux is a top-of-the-range Invincible X model in Titan Bronze, powered by the new 204hp 2.8-litre engine introduced to the Hilux range earlier this year, which gives it maximum torque of 500Nm and a 3.5-tonne towing capacity.

On behalf of the WH Bond family, Alison Bond said: “When we purchased our first Hilux 28 years ago, we couldn’t have foreseen just what an integral part of our business it would become. Taking delivery of our 200th vehicle, we can reflect on the excellent service it has given us year after year as our business has grown. At the same time, Hilux has become much more than a reliable workhorse, being safe, comfortable and versatile vehicle to drive.”
