Find out how to cut claims costs and incidents at 2018 FORS conference

Operators attending the FORS Members’ Conference 2018 will get an insight into how they can significantly reduce insurance costs and drive operational efficiency with the help of Direct Commercial Ltd (DCL) and VisionTrack.

The two firms are to co-sponsor the event – which takes place on Tuesday 16 October at the National Conference Centre in Solihull – as they showcase the benefits of their Camatics CCTV and telematics insurance solution.

The commercial vehicle Insurance underwriter and cloud-based video telematics provider launched the solution in January to help reduce claims and subsequently reduce premiums, later expanding it to cover a multi-camera option.

Latest figures for the Camatics solution find that policyholders can achieve an 18% reduction in claims costs and a 24% reduction in incidents.

The FORS Members’ Conference – free to attend for FORS members – will focus this year on ‘10-years of evolving best practice’ and will include both a celebration and a retrospective of the scheme’s many notable achievements over the last decade. Headlining the proceedings will be the introduction of version 5 of the FORS Standard.

Adam Marsh, head of agency & business development at DCL, said: “We’re delighted to be supporting the conference and we’re right behind the FORS effort to promote an industry-wide safety attitude. With the exception of fuel, insurance is arguably the largest single operating cost, and, with our Camatics product, we’re able to offer FORS members a significant discount on insurance costs alongside tangible benefits to boost long term productivity.”

The FORS conference will feature presentations and debate from leading figures representing a wide cross-section of the transport sector including Rob Flello, transport industry consultant and founder of the Parliamentary Freight Transport Group, and Peter Kay, Head of Learning & Development at Tarmac. The conference will be chaired once more by well-known industry commentator, Brian Weatherley.

A number of FORS Associates will present their products and services at a dedicated exhibition zone, much of which will be discounted specifically for FORS members.
