Fleet Source slashes cost of Earned Recognition audits

Training specialist Fleet Source has cut the cost of its Earned Recognition audits as it looks to help more fleet operators, particularly SMEs, achieve the vital DVSA accreditation.

CEO Nick Caesari said that some operators are being quoted as much as £5,000 to have an audits; a key limiting factor in the growth of the Earned Recognition scheme.

Instead, the firm is offering audits from £495 + VAT per company accreditation, based on a fully inclusive package with no hidden costs.

Highlighting the importance of the scheme, Caesari said: “The DVSA Earned Recognition scheme gives fleet operators tangible proof that their operation meets driver and vehicle standards.

“It demonstrates that you are an exemplary fleet operator, less likely to have your vehicles stopped for roadside inspections and Earned Recognition is fast becoming a key factor in bidding for contracts.”

“We wanted to offer a fully inclusive package based on a company’s accreditation, with no hidden costs and not just based on an individual audit.”

Fleet Source fully inclusive packages cover three tiers:

£495 + VAT for operators with 1-100 vehicles, a maximum 3 Operator Licences and a maximum of 5 operating centres.

£995 + VAT for operators with 1-100 vehicles, a maximum 5 Operator Licences and a maximum of 20 operating centres.

£1995 + VAT for operators with 101+ vehicles, a maximum 8 Operator Licences and 20+ operating centres.

Caesari added: “We hope that by significantly reducing the audit cost and packaging into a simple, all-inclusive price for a company accreditation, it will encourage more fleet operators, particularly SMEs, to adopt this important scheme.

“We’re committed to doing everything we can to support fleet operators through the current crisis and beyond. Improving standards, but at a reduced cost to the fleet operator, is that the heart of our strategy.”
